HAs anyone attempted to modify an Eddy Air Gap manofold to allow a stock Thermoquad to be mounted on it. I have access to a nice mill and the skills to do it. Problems?

I did it with an adapter but I could not get an air cleaner on it.

I was thinking I could have some alumium welded on the side to allow porting to fit the secondary throttle bore and I have to add material for the bolt holes. I don't think it would really be a big deal if you could weld aluminum and had a mill available. Have not done it yet but still plan to.

Exactly my plan. I'm really not sure why Eddy does not offer this option. I'd like to keep my original TQ carb as the car is pretty much original all around, I just want the better manifold to go with my Eddy heads.
