OK, guys we're less than two weeks away from the best NSS race on the planet....the York US30 Reunion/Nostalgia Nationals, one of the two great NSS races at the Beaver during the summer. I know I'm getting stoked...last year 54 NSS cars made the first round call. I met a guy in the pits who flew in from Great Britain, and so many spectators that if you are claustrophobic your in trouble. Here is the flyer...

I'll see you on Sunday. The family is having a cookout on Saturday and Oldfield is going to the York US 30 on Friday. I might try to squeeze in a quick trip to Carlisle on Saturday depending on the family plans. Then another quick trip down to Tampa Bay area to see StewartP and maybe pick up the headers he's storing for me?

I'll be towing the Coronet up from Florida for the York show, then to the races on sunday. Will be the first time attending either and my wife and I are really looking forward to it.

Check the Beaver's site, www.beaversprings.com

The track is out in the middle of farm country....it is absolutely amazing how the events draw up there. But, if you are a nostalgia type of guy, it's absolutely fabulous.

We stay at the Quality Inn in Lewistown (Burnheim) Pa, about twenty miles away. A lot of guys stay in Selinsgrove, about twenty miles the other way. Still more come in campers and motorhomes.

Beaver Bob has also bought poster space on all of the Pepsi trucks in the area, so the event is being promoted everywhere. These are the signs.

I'd love to attend this event. Such a shame that it always has to conflict with Carlisle. I vend at a Carlisle. Maybe I should just pack up on Saturday evening and go to Beaver on Sunday.

They run a Nostalgia ET, and a Nostalgia Street which is a catch all for everything. There is a Nostalgia Jr. Stock, which is for stock hood type cars. Pluse NETO; the gassers, funnies and everything else. The car must be 1975 or older.

I really don't know...I've never really checked in to it.

I think it's decent, but not outstanding. I think this event is more for the geezers and those who like geezer racing than it is for the hard core bracket crowd. Perhaps it's on their site.
