I wish I would have made it out but I was too burned out from Milan. Got home at 3:00am and I'm not as young as I used to be That and my Ghetto-X still isn't running, lol. Glad you guys had a good time.

Dave...first of all,BEAUTIFUL BARRACUDA! Runs as good as it looks! I was doing a lot of BSing with Randy,Sean,Mike,Greg, and the gang and didn't have the opportunity to come over and introduce myself! I DO plan on headin' out to Ubly on sunday the 11th! A few Moparts members are suppose to as well. MoparTony being one of them. I will be in touch! I'll probably start a post shortly to see who's game! Unless Tony starts one first! Take care! RandyB

Nice meeting you Dave. That cars a beauty. Wish we would have been able to spend more time down near Doug, Chief, Mike, and Greg.as usual though, we still have some issues to deal with. Randy, as always, it was a pleasure talking to you. I'd like to try to get together with everyone again this summer.

I couldnt agree more, you could take a photo from Lapeer 20 years ago and today, the only thing difference would be the same people would have more hair and less gray.
I too have seen some very fast/expensive cars at Lapeer????

ok, i will be there early since it looks like only 2 hours of tnt 11 to 1. i'll be trying out an open spacer vs my 4 hole tappered. i may relash valves to spec hot since it was last done cold to see what that does.

Hey Labrat, Sat. would be a better day to go to ubly it's a test and tune day where Sun. is a raceday;on racedays only 1/8 mile.
Just depends on what you want to do. Saturday is the opie race should have alot of fast cars out of Flint, would love to go , but heading to Carlisle.

I went to YouTube and saw the video you posted Randy B. Nice! Thanks. You can hear the car sligtly breaking up at the top-end...I'm pretty sure the plugs got ruined from overly rich idle mix. Got to get back out with 2 new adjusters and 2 pushrods, maybe throw a set of plugs in it too. MAYBE then she'll run like it's supposed to? And just for good measure
Forgot to ask Randy B...did you get my PM reply?

well,it was nice to finaly meet you guys, great bunch of guys. i had a good time out there, but only made 5 passes with a 10.78@125 as my best. did'nt get a chance to try runnin without the 4 hole because the 50cc pumps hit the intake carb flange without the spacer,so i'm getting a open spacer and going to ubly sunday. sorry greg, i did'nt get to checkout your charger. who's going to ubly this next sunday?

Nice to finally meet you Dave.

... I
had my mech throttle stop on it set at 1/3 carb opening
and the car was trying to hop... not enough torque
to plant the tires good... I tried a couple of things
to see if that would help but it didnt... tried to
up the launch rpm from 3800 to 4600 but no help I
also tried more tire pressure but no help... I should
have changed the 4-link IC but I didnt feel like
doing that in the heat... Doug made a few passes
at 10.09 so all in all it was a good day.... good
job Doug

I was just talking about that on the way home from Lapeer. Not enough power applied to get the current IC working. When Randy came over to say hello I told him to 'get over there and slap him in the face' to get the adrenalin workin'...Later on in the day he told me he slapped you Raff...I meant to hit Doug instead. LOL! Now both you guys are gonna be pissed at me. Seriously jumping into a short wheelbase fast car will take some time getting used to and your doing good Doug. Just remember there are 2 speeds OFF and WFO!

Eddie, thanks for the info and clarification on 1/8 vs. 1/4 mile! So... if saturday is this opie race, when are they doing the 1/4 mile T&T? Sean,Thanks for the valve adjusting technique info! Is there a particular sequence to follow,as far as cylinders go? Do you start with #1 and go along...8-4-3-6-5-7-2?

Honestly, no. I just pick a rocker that's at lash and adjust it, bouncing along one bank(side) at a time. It makes it easier on the monkey spinning the engine over LOL. Going to bed, see you fellas in the morning.
