I powdercoated mine w/ Eastwood gloss black, not the factory color but the finish looks great. Would ignore this if you're going for a complete factory resto as it most definitely is not.

Technically, the correct gloss for most all of underhood parts and
suspension parts on mopars is a 30 degree gloss black.

It should be an enamel not a lacquer.

Unfortunately, you can't buy that in a spray can.
Flat black - 5-10% gloss
satin - 5-15% gloss
semi-gloss 60%gloss
gloss = 90-100% gloss

None of these look right when compared to an original... But the average person won't really pickup on this.

Eastwood makes an "Underhood black". But be advised,
this is lacquer paint and not suited for anything
long term under a hood. It is very popular
though. But it's still not a 30% gloss.

But you can by nearly the same thing in Krylon at
walmart or home depot for about $5.00 a can....

To get exactly they right gloss (30%) you'll have
to go to a body shop supply store like PPG or
Dupont or Sherwin Williams and tell them you want
an engine enamel or acrylic enamel 30 degrees
gloss black.

But you'll get that in quarts only..and you'll have to spray through a spray guy yourself....

Once you paint all this stuff and get the car running and driving your going to find that even the enamel isn't going to take the abuse of daily driver for long.

For the best possible results, you should have all of those "black" parts powerder coated.
Especially the K-Frame...

Just my

Best of luck to you...
