Madras is having thier second Friday night street racers and sport compact races this Friday night,6-25-2010. Summit points race Saturady and Sunday, anyone attending besides me? the track manager has ask for volunteers to do a ride along with some of the non expereinced street racers and sport compact racers to explain the starting line, Xmas tree and finish line and so on, anyone wanting to volunteer come on down
No ride alongs, I guess there was no newbies or none that wanted help
I brkoe something in the converter or trans today during time trials
It started making noise in nuetral with the engine shut off on the return road, the girl at the ticket booth ask me about it. I took it back to the trailer and ran it on jacks, couldn't hear anything at all with the motor running in gear and reving it up in 3rd gear and shutting it off or by turning the rear wheels over both ways
The third time trail run it started making a slushing or sloshing sound in 1st gear after picking up the time slip
I started driving it back to the trailer and the starter stop me saying the car was dripping gas on the starting line on the last run
It had did that to weeks ago while driving in town, once it sits it stops leaking
I put in the trailer and brought it home, walk out to check the pump and it is not leaking now
I'll put it in the shop and jack it up and put it on 4 jackstands so I can slide under it and listen to the noise with a stethascope, I'm sure the converter is eating itself up
I hope not, I hope it is something else real simple like a piece of wire wrap around the driveshaft or something similar.
Probally not
5 years of hard running on this one, I hope it is fixable
