I am building a 408 using a 71 360 block. The crankshaft endplay is .016, is that excessive and does anyone know the spec? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I think that 10-12 is the low end ... 16 would be fine with me.

I think a 360 spec is around .008" to .012". I wouldn't sweat .016". A little loose is ok.
