what brand of oil? or what weight of oil? be sure you're not going to run something that's for a modern engine, like any of the "big name" 10w30 generic motor oils at the auto parts stores. I would look for a heavy duty oil, a racing oil, or oil that's specifically made for old engines, or add some of the STP stuff to your oils.
I was running the royal purple 15w40 heavy stuff, my oil pressures were 30 psi at hot idle, and 60ish at RPM driving down the road. This summer I went to a more generic royal purple that was available at the auto parts store vs what's only available at race shops, this stuff is only 10w30, and my oil pressures are now about 20 at hot idle, and 50 at rpm down the road.
