hi
im working on a 440 thats going into my duster.
HERES THE SPECS.
the motor is true 10to1 squeeze with 516 heads. the heads have been upgraded to the 1.74 exaust valve/2.08 intake. compition valve gob and mild port work includin bowl blending and gasket matching, all donE on a flow bench by a machinest. no flow numbers yeat still a work in progress. ch4b intake.shumaker headers.
the car weighs 3300lbs with 3.23 gear and a 2200 stall and 28x11.5 slicks

i need help on what cam to choose for best 1/4mile times+street manners.

im looking at the comp xe274 camshaft or the xe 268 but im very open to sugestions/

If you are keeping that gear and stall I would run the xe268.

That's a mighty tight converter.
mild cam (almost need the 262) 10 to 1 and iron heads I can see a race gas motor.

I was planning on 93. changing the convoter is a option. the car is farly light which is why i thought i could get away with it.

with that stall and gear I guess you need more grunt than power. I'll guess somthing in the 220's-230's - 460-480 lift will work fine. Anything bigger and you'll need to go up on the gear and converter.

This is what I would suggest a 3000 stall minimum and 3.54 gears.

You have too much compression for mild cams and to tight a converter for better cams.

The quench of the 516 may help some. I would go 3000 stall and at least the biggest cam you are looking at
