You can polish them with plastic polish, available in 3 levels of "grit" from Tap plastics. I think Maguires has some plastic polish too.

I've tried several of the plastic polishes, but nothing even comes close to working as well as the Novus plastic polishing kit.
My Challenger tail light lenses were so dark and dull, I was going to replace them, but a few minutes with this kit, and they look like NOS.
Amazing stuff. One of the greatest products I have ever used on a car.
I got the kit a couple of years ago on eBay, but I'm sure it's still fairly easy to find now. It's used a lot by pinball machine restorers and enthusiasts. That's how I learned about it, as I have several of them.

If you sand or polish agressive on chrome you will end up burning through the chrome and exposing the copper. There's usually not enough chrome to polish the way you can on aluminum or stainless steel. MAtt @ MCB metal polishing

I have used Kit Scratch Out successfully on plastic including lenses for years, and same with Turtle Wax Chrome Cleaner on plated plastic. I believe both products say not to use them this way, but it has worked for me with no damage and no problems.

The polish from Tap Plastics is the same one as the other poster recomends "Novus plastic polishing kit" Tap has free sample packets available for the asking.
