Bob? Anyone?

I've never had one go bad, and am just wondering if there are any tell tale signs or giveaways. The converter is a good piece, but it has been around for a while.

My short times are all over the place, and the et is also a couple of tenths off and inconsistent. I've never had an issue like this before, or maybe in my old age I just don't remember. The motor checks out good, I'm just sort of perplexed. But then again, I perplex easily.

Any ideas?

When mine took a dump, when you brought the RPM up it was like it shifted into 2nd gear,60ft fell way off and ET droped off by almost a second

Assuming a quality converter, about how many runs in a 10-second car should it last?

My Continental 8" has been kickin for around 8 years and in the 10`s the whole time and doesn`t get hot on the street or strip and my 60`s are solidly in the 1.3`s to low 1.4`s when it spins so, I guess it`s still working.

That is pretty much the same thing my car was doing before I swapped out my conv. the only noticable sound I heard was it sounded like the tires were spinning when I launched. Jamie (vernmotor) was on the line for one of my launches and told me the flair up in RPM I was hearing was not the tires but most likly the conv going south.

How old are your tires? Maybe the sidewalls are worn out?
