my Q is..
Which rallye wheel center cap do i need to be correct for my car or does it matter?

the center caps on the Cuda's were all the same from year to year, so you'll need whatever one is correct for 1970.

Now I just can't remember if it's the light center caps or the dark center caps, that were correct for 1970!

I know that one is for 70, the other is for 71, and then the 72-74 cars got the big chunky looking thing.

Light argent for 70

Dark argent for 71.

I've never heard of a rough vs. smooth argent finish, but I've never heard of lots of things, so could be true.

You might a better response to this question on the resto forum.

My guess is that your rough vs. smooth is a result of different manufacturers take or even different batches of argent. From what I've seen, most repops don't look exactly like the new ones I bought from Mopar.

- the one i got with the car (in the back seat) was a light argent and it was speckled "stardust" or something i heard it called.
now that im trying to assemble rallye wheels for it i at least want to be close. i have heard that light argent was correct for 1970.
