Man, what a bear bending and shaping 1/2" alum. line but it`s done and I should of done this years ago. What a difference too.........my car idles much better, the pump is quieter and I know it will be better all the way around. I`m still running the Holley 150 pump but the leak is more like a seep at this point and since I`m in the process of moving the pump will have to wait till next week or so. Thankxx for the photos and tips and it looks like Thumper is going to be my DAILY driver till I get a second vehicle(long story). Later.........

Don`t know how awesome it is but, you do what ya have to do. Been living in the same house for 17 years but some things must come to an end and the Ranger that was given to me has now been taken back(crazy women)so, no biggie..........At least my fuel system kicks....

Trust me when I say that I feel your pain when it came to bending 1/2 aluminum line. I thought that since it is a light and soft alloy that it could bend in any direction if you looked at it right, well I felt like I came out of a judo-Tae kwon Doe-hip-kido-Thai boxing Kung Fu fight after bending my 1/2 ID aluminum line to conform along the stock route on the chassis.
Tuff job with aches and pain there after if you want it to look right, and be safe at the same time.

I'm about to fire up a new fuel system as well on my street driven B-bodomous. LOL.
Will let you know how the Aeromotive A-1000 system stacks up in a stealth tank.

What system did you end up with?

Street cars are back!

I hope you live close to work! I was in a similar situation about 20 years ago, 30 miles each way to work with a hopped up small block Demon.

After a couple months of that I bought a used Shelby Omni GLH. 30 mpg and LOTS of fun to drive. I saved more on gas than the car payment so it turned out to be almost free, plus all the wear and tear I saved on the Demon.

I bet you could find an Avenger or Neon reasonable......

Fun stuff for sure.........since I work out a lot the physical bending is no bother it`s the crawling on concrete that kicks my a$$. As far as fuel pump, I`m getting the Aeromotive street/strip model(don`t have #`s in front of me)and am currently running the Holley billet 150 pump NHRA Mark, unfortunately I`ve been wrenching out of this house so that should be interesting trying to re-locate my business but again, S#$T happens and I`m sure it`ll work out....

Is the word Divorce subliminally part of this conversation?
I'm kinda lost on the close to work and fuel pump theme.

Not sure what you`re getting at but no, I`m not married and I need a new fuel pump. No, I havn`t got to the muffs yet.......the fuel system will take care of that for a while.

This post is worthless without pics

Thumper, it's amazing how much more quiet the pump(s) are with a return system. Should make them last longer also

Too funny..........my dumb a$$ gets lost shaving so posting a photo seems impossible but I`ll see if my "smart" room mate can help me out. I agree about it being quieter and the pump life greatly improving also and since I live in the HOT desert, the cooler fuel can only be a benefit as well........

You won`t be dissapointed........other than all of the crawling and bending of course.
