Hello,
I'm currently stripping a '74 Dart for parts and was wondering if I should keep the K-frame. It had a 318 installed, but not bolted to the frame. I checked the VIN and it originally was equipped with a /6. What is the difference between a /6 and a V8 K frame for an A-body?

If your K member is a slant 6 type, DO NOT JUNK IT !!! I have converted slant six units to V8 spec in a few hours! Nobody is repopping the K members, and a crafty guy with a welder and a sawzall can be your friend.
Another way to tell a slant K from a V8 is to look at the pass side mount. The V8 is in line with the idler, the 6 is to the outside of it.
