has any one used martin senour paints.sold buy napa. it is the cross fire line. basecoat/clear if so tell me what you think of it. thanks

I know someone who uses it on everything. The base seems fine, but the clear doesn't seem to last. It chips too easy and turns yellowish over time. They make different grades of clear iirc, and I think he went with the cheapest one.

Personally I'd rather buy a single stage urethane from ppg, dupont, ect, to save money vs using a base-clear that may or may not hold up over the long haul.

That stuff is the same as Sherwin Williams, just relabeled to be sold at Napa stores. I dont have a very high opinion of either of those brands. For close to the same money you can get alot better quality product.

i have used it before and didnt see any problem. last time was a couple years ago and it still is fine. i used the tech base, i think it was called, it was the high grade stuff they sell.
i just priced 1 1/2 gallons of red from them and PPG , both the high grade line and napa was $550 , PPG was $980.
I nromally use PPG but never had any problem with the napa stuff.
