I found your forum here and find the information quite extensive. I did some reading on the 383's, and have been trying to find out which exactly mine is-b or RB?. it's a 1960 Chrysler Saratoga with the 383 golden lion in it. I've hardly got to mess with it in the 16 years I've had it and to work on it I have to drive 80 miles out of town since it's at a relatives house. To the point, I have read from many sources that there was raised blocks from 59 and 60. There seems to be allot of difference in either opinion or information. Engine is pretty filthy, where should I start?

Just measure the distance between the valve covers.(gasket lip to garket lip) If 32cm/12.6inch it's a B. If 34cm/13.4inch it's an RB.
383B, 9.8:1, Lunati 60302(220/226@0.050 262/268Dur, 0.475"/0.494", Stealth heads, Performer manifold, QF SS-750-AN carb, 3.31Diff, A833 4-speed manual.
