We purchased a new Accel 8080 alternator but my low mount bracket used for the mini alternator we had before isnt even close to working. Anyone have suggestions on a low mount bracket that would work on my 440?

Thanks in advance,

Kara

This is hands down the nicest low mount alternator bracket that I have seen. If the alternator that this bracket was made for is what you are looking for, look no further. Ive seen some peoples custom brackets and they do look nice but not like this part. Most others simply look like a well made home brewed bracket. Just not finished.

Thanks guys. These low mount bracket are listed for mini alternators. The 8080 Accel I have is not a mini. I appreciate your feedback very much.

Thanks tboomer. I am laughing at myself right now...this is what I had on the car with my mini, it's from DMI as well...I bought it from an ebay store last year. It's great, but the darn Accel alt is just too big, the spacing is off. I should have just bought a custom alternator and been done! Thanks so much for the help though, much appreciated.

Same here, mine is the GM 1 wire the mid sized body one...Mid 80's vintage.

Looking at the alternator you have it would be only a matter of custom spacers making the DMI fit, cause the main body looks smaller than mine.

GOOD LUCK

Nother pic, this is the full size MSD pickup, it's a bit tight on my configuration because I need to run a real short belt to keep the alternator away from my frame rails.
