to the the stock valve body? I have a 727 in my charger and the car did not have any kickdown linkage, so I purchased the Buchllion (sp?) cable kit and now the tranny shifts are all over the place, it upshifts at different speeds and then downshifts. real problem is that I'm not sure how the tranny was before I bought the car, i got it without a motor and the owner said it worked fine. hindsight is 20/20, i should have had it rebuilt from the start. so i thought maybe the valve body might have something to with it.

If it was a full manual VB, the kickdown lever on the tranny would be non existant or spin freely.

Mine doesn't even have anything to hook a linkage or cable to even if I wanted to.

Did you get to drive it before hooking up the cable?

Just because you have a full manual VB ...does not mean that you eliminate the KD linkage. Some manual VB's use the KD linkage to vary the line-pressure.

BEST thing to do at this point .....check line pressure ASAP.

the kickdown lever did move freely, i took the pan off and saw the kick down assembly screw inside just laying in the pan. So I assumed it came off. I put it back on and close it up and installed the tranny.

Pass side of the trans ....about 4 inches or so UP from the pan-rail .... there are three test-ports .... hook-up the center one. A regular 100 psi OP gauge is needed.
