Are you kidding....it started last night....

Sizing things up and making a plan Got to get my son's truck buttoned up and then roll the valiant in the garage and start mocking up suspension, motor, trans....then will strip it down and put it on the rotisserie have yet to build

Thinking of scraping the 318/390 idea and start looking for a good deal on a 340 Resto block and build a 426" SB. After looking the car over, a blower sticking out the hood with a 4-speed is tempting We'll See, plenty of time

Flat black with steelies and dog dishes. Then install a Mopar World of Outlaws aluminum small block with a little spray and a Liberty 5-speed.

But then, the 'chute will probably give you away.

Hey Rick, just send me the 40 grand and I'll run out and grab one As for the color, we already have one satin black vehicle with steelies....I'm thinking of going with the stock interior blue for the interior and exterior matched in a basecoat-clearcoat burried deep in clear with some Crager SS wheels...???? Definitely Chrome, as the original chrome on the car is in incredible condition

Chute...Maybe, Wheelie Bars a distinct possibility

I wish I'd have known you were at the track! A little family matter popped up and I got there just before you left.
I had to be there since I built the trophy for the Mopar racers. I'm also the Cowtown club president.

Bill Boon (texastrailerman.com) has always been a stand up guy. That little Valiant has been looking for a home. I'm glad it's going to be fixed up nicely.

in 5on4...what width...???? Thanks Rick

Spent another afternoon surveying the car and fitting up the stored trim to see where I'm at with usable parts...so far pretty good

The body is so solid I'm beginning to hate the thought of cutting into it Was thinking of possibly going with something along the lines of 14x6 and 14x8 Rally's with a set of MT 28"x8.5" Drag Radials and not disturb the tubs at all, also revisiting the 318/390 original stroker idea, have most of the pieces already I think it would still make for a pretty quick street car with around 450hp and a 4-speed, 4.10's.....Whattaya Think....?????

I think the ideas in your last post are best.. 318/390 and stock.Paint it silver or pearl white with red interior.

I'd look on class racer and see what Paul Wong did as far as rear wheels on his 65 stock eliminator Valiant.

Thanks Chris, the color will be the stock blue interior color interior and exterior, the seats were already redone in a beautiful blue vinyl/cloth 2-tone...Nice...so blue it is

I was looking at Wheel Vintiques 5on5x8" and 6" on the front Rally wheels painted to match the body with the bright trim rings and centers

I'm a member on Class Racer and will ck out Pauls ride....Thanks again

I first put blue for the interior, then I thought of Dragrcr97's Valiant, which is the same color combo,so I decided red, since red was popular in those cars back then.

Rallyes...silver
