I just purchased an 383 and 727 but I have to swap out the tailshaft cause it is from a truck. Where can I get a gasket or can I make my own. Or can you get away with using rtv sealant. Thanks in advance.

In order to change tail shaft you need to dissasemble the whole trans. You are going to need more than a gasket.

I tried Nappa, the dealer, and no one was able to get it aka didn't want or know how to use the old books.

I walked into a local trany shop as suggested from someone on this forum and picked it up for 5.00
