Are you POSITIVE it`s not the valve cover gasket? My eyes caught the same thing on my dart and that`s what it turned out to be. If not, what type of gaskets and compression for starters......

Agree. I tried the "really good and thick" valve cover gaskets and they leak. Next time its standard cork/rubber for me. They seep a little but don't leak.

Yep, I glue the Cork/Rubber gasket to the valve cover, and dont use anything on the head, and they seal up good. Just dont over tighten them.

The reason I ask is because of all of the issues w/cometics or copper gaskets and the critical deck/head finish needed to make em seal properly. And of course the re-torquing that`s apparently needed.

Look really closely for the source of the oil, I bet that it is coming from the intake valley cover and then following the head gasket to where it looks like it is leaking from Unless this is a street hemi motor I have seen the head gaskets on a street hemi motor leak oil at the oil return passages on the outside corners due to a rough deck surface using Cometic head gaskets
