Cable is pulled real tight and when the ideal is bottomed out on floorboard carb is open about 3/4? I have one of those jegs style lokar cable setup ... I've seen some of you guys bending that front area down on the throttle bracket... Will this gve me leverage fir WOT? Thx

you need to find a mounting point on the carb lever closer to the fulcrum (center pivot point) to get more ratio of pedal lever to throttle lever.. cheapst

I tried a lokar cable on my car once, and could never get it to work correctly, i think it was stretching.

you have the cable pin in the wrong hole. It needs to be in the hole closest to the fulcrum. DC
me thinks the opposite raise the bracket and use the higest hole. it gives the most leverage
doesn't seem like leverage is the issue. if he wants to move it more for a given amount of pedal (cable) travel, he needs it in the hole closest to the pivot. Kinda like when you put a smaller pulley on a blower. It moves the rotors more (spins faster) than a large one.

as stated earlier........ I cant get in that bottom front hole..... the pump arm comes up and hits the bolt! this is the bracket patrick recomends on hi site....
Can you cut the stud shorter to clear... its either you add more length (travel)to the gas pedal or you need to get it in that lower hole on the carb... also lower the cable mount (its to high)... might even need to bend that cable mount down for a better angle

I can bolt it to the front lower hole. the problem is when you open the throttle the pump arm come up and interfers with the bolt righ away......
