the wife's van engine light came on,,,,
took it to autozone,,,to borrow their analyzer....

code is P0404

"EGR postion sensor failed,,,,or open or short circuit condition....or failed EGR valve"

anyone replace these ?

looks to be right up front on the passenger side of the motor,,,,, couple bolts ??

its a 2005 (LEASE),,,,,would this be covered if i took it in ?

I think i can get the sensor from autozone,,,,,

Not sure if its the same, but I replaced the EGR on my 01 T&C with 3.3 engine and it was easy.

If it is still under the 3/36 warranty, it definately is. Even if the 3/36 is out, the problem still might be under the emissions warranty. Give your dealer a call. Have the VIN number and the mileage handy when you talk to them. They can tell you what the remaining warranty is on your van. If they can't give you any answers, PM me, and I'll find out for you.

Most emission stuff is covered for 60K.That set up comes as both peices from the dealer.Ive replaced quite a few on older vehicles. The cost from the dealer if you have to buy it isnt worth getting a generic after market part.Rocky
