I went down to my local Dodge dealer the other day to get some Engine oil pan gaskets. I wanted the good ones so we went through the HP catalog. When we found them we were met with two different part #'s. Part # P4452097 was $14.97, Part # P4007572 was $11.87. I was curious as to what the differences were, so I ordered them both. When I got them we opened them on the parts counter to compare. The only thing I could see was the 572's were just a little thicker material (Black paper composite) for the rail area. The ends (Black rubber) were identical and 572's were $3.10 cheaper. One of them said "reusable", but I can't remember which one. What gives here? Anybody else seen any other "what the heck's" going on in the HP catalog?
Oh, the 2097's had the "MOPAR PERFORMANCE" sticker in it.
I guess I should have added these were small block gaskets. I guess, not that it matters much.
