We do it all the time with the XV intake. Shafi's car had the XV intake also. Minimal mods and it works perfectly.

I am putting an XV intake on my 5.7 in my 70 Challenger convert with factory shaker hood, do you know which base plate works the best to modify? 340, 383 or 440 base ?

The best way is to use the factory fuel injection unit. Buying a throttle body unit and a intake defeats the purpose for reliability and perfomance standpoint. This is why the danko shaker baseplate makes more sense.

We use a 1000cfm Accufab unit with an AEM fully programmable efi, and our EFI intake. We use the 340 base. Not sure where you can say a performance standpoint...When you use a motor that isn't stock, the AEM offers infinite flexibility, and allows us to get away from the awful looking OE intake.

I'm not sure if I understand you right. How much does that unit cost?.So you are saying the XV fuel injection is better reliabity and performace wise than the factory type injection? What kind of flexablity are you talking about? I could care less what the unit looks like, I just want it to be efficient, reliable and perform. I know that my unit has a programmable AEM thats very flexable also.Gee I wonder why they dont use it in production cars . From what I see dollar for dollar the factory injection is the way to go. But I am not a expert so school me. I appreciate your input,Thank You

This is funny to me. I bought a 6.1 because of the intake. I think, personally, it's a beautiful piece to look at.

And that's also part of the beauty of the AEM 30-1902U. It can cope with any intake. It's just A:F.

I am not sure why they did, It seems like they have discontinued many parts over the last several years. I know Indy Cylinder Head has a intake that is similar if thats what you are after.
