I had an issue with the wheel hub on my 70 Roadrunner. It was causing the edge of the brake shoes to rub on brake drum due to the offset in the face plate. So I found a used one. Now my issue is the one I have did not have studs in it. So I went to the parts store and everyone tells me the same thing. The ones that are suppose to fit do not. The holes seem to be enlarged. You can press the studs into the hole with your fingers. Does anybody have an ideas on what I can do to solve my dilema? Thanks in advance.

I believe the front studs have a little more shoulder than the rear, make sure they didn't give you rear studs. The front are also "swedged" in, but I believe they still press into the hub. Can you remove the studs from your old hub?

Yeah I drove one out to compare with the new hub and it loose also. Try new stud in old hub and it fits snug. Guy at parts store is trying to get me to weld stud in place. I dont want to try to hack this together. It strange cause it does not appear to be worn in the holes. You can see the lines from previous studs. I would use the new studs but I am afraid that if I do I wont be able to get the wheel off cause the studs will spin.
