Page 64, "popular Mopar Body Weights" I"m getting a har dtime wrapping my head around this one. 71 to 74 B body 3800-4000 lbs. recomended. Then "poor choice" 66-67 b body Both b rb engine. Notes 66-67 has poor tire clearence. Who can decifer this stuff? I plan on doing a spring relocation kit and wheel tub. Not expensive, and been done lotsa timmes before. Will use the Mopar relocation kit. For $30.00 This is what I get? No mention of the spring relocation kit? No mention of what people are actually doing? All Bone Stock with Millions of references to Mopar Performance to bone stock specs? What the hell is this? The B/RB engine build is the same waste of money! Over and over how factory low compression stuff rules. THIS IS PERFORMANCE? SAVE you $60 ON THESE manuals and read Hot Rod or Popular Hottrodding. Theese books SUCK! Over AND OVER again from one book to another the same stuff. I will give you my books if you really think you need to buy them. THEY SUCK! They make good doorstops. Screw economy and how to build for $1 dollar. (even they don't tell you that). What we need is the BEST parts against Ford and Chevy! They don't even go near there. They preach bone stock. Over and over and over and over, even if you purchase a notgher manual, it will be over and over factory stock. oVER AND OVER. REPEATED OVER AND OVER STUFFF. OVER AND OVER.It will overlap and have the same info over and over. Nothing useful., Excecpt change your oil pump spring, FbarUCK THIS Sbart! NOT worth the time and money wasted.

By the way, you couould use some chrome brathers and chrome valve coves and a chrome water net, all parts 1000-22-333, 1000-2444-555, and 555 BS!

They act like they are saving you money, then shammlessly hack chrome crap. Ford doesn't treat their kids this way! Unless you want a Feather Duster, for fuel economy. That is listed maybe 50 times in this book.

I was looking for where to grind, what to weld, where to drill. This has NONE of that. It is about stock vehicles and how to race STOCK. No modify, except to bolt in other stock parts. I guess I'm just disappointed for my 30 bucks. Rant over. and over ... see next manual for rant over...

No info like if you get a scttershield for your tranny, the oil dipstick tube might not work right, or Eddelbrock heads have angled plugs and you can't get to them with headers, Or a certian manufacture of headers won't fit no matter what, or any of the little things that we have been dealing with for years. Small port aluminum water pump housings, etc. WE NEED INFO! Not bone stock BS! This entire site is about modifying, and the main manufacturer should try and help out if they want to survive. ( I don't want to drive a Fiat) Where are the Ramchargers when you need them? Not in detriot. All the manuals I have bought list generics and talk in generic terms. Oh, you might need a cooler if you think. F YOU! Give us NUMBERS! Whats too hot, whats 's to cold, whats too big. IN REAL WORLD NUMBERS!

Yes I'm ticked after spending $60 list for these two useless books. Andy F, Here is a warning, you had better do better than this. I trust you though, and have bought stuff from you. The same holds true to the Mopar Ma, though. You better not ever, ever reccomend a mopar chrome breather, unless it is the best on the planet and will give me 50 HP.

Yep, i was kinda disappointed with mine 25 years ago, and that's when it was tough getting info from other sources. Haven't seen a new copy in years, but i remember the last one i looked at was almost all rehashed stuff. I figure they assume that some of the Mopar faithful will buy the lastest edition just because...

Ok. I'm cooled down and somewhat more mellow. No Chrome Parts - from Mopar or anybody. Wasted expenditure. Despite what these two manuals try to teach, there is only a smattering of anything you might gain. On the other hand, and I will post this seperate - July 2010 Popular Hot Rodding has a kick a$$ article by Andy F! I can't wait to get his new book on building strokers with real world knowledge and current parts. THANK YOU ANDY F!
