I've noticed everyone runs Hollys or Edelbrocks. Just curious why no one runs dual Thermo-Quads. I realize the primary and secondaries are vastly different, but I wonder if anyone has tried it before. Primaries are about the same and secondaries should give a huge boost. Maybe too much? Just curious. It would look bad a$$$!

QuickD100 has a pair on his hemi and likes them. While I think they are the best carb out there for most guys combos I think they are very ugly

In the Mopar Muscle magazine engine challenge, one of the teams used thermoquads on a Weiand tunnel ram. Worked out well for them.

I have to respectfully disagree, I think they are the best looking, and many people (and the factory) think they are good enough or better than the competition. People just didn't know how to tune them or did it out of sequecnce. The old "warped bowl" leak was never really a consideration. They are more difficult to tune with the jets in the bowl, but differernt rods can be used. People blamed a lot of problems on them that were actualy somewhere else. They still do. I actually like FI better than anything, but will use a TQ until I get there.

Yep, I run a set of 850's on a Weiand tunnel ram on my 528 Hemi in the truck. They work pretty darn well too. I'll be doing some dyno tests with them sometime in the near future.Dave

Cool! On a tunnel ram even! I was just wanting to see 2x4, but A tunnel ram would be an awesome setup. It's not something you see everyday - if at all.

It would be nice to see brand new thermo quads available again.

Keep old mopars alive.

Does anyone know of a dual-quad manifold other than a tunnel ram that will support the spread-bore design?

I have absolutely no idea, but I have an Edelbrock TM6 single plane and will use an Edelbrock #2691 TQ to spread bore adapter. I will also test a Holly Street Dominator to see which on runs the best. It's a ways off, but I am adamant on using a TQ. I have bought 3 off ebay that fit my description, and hope to have DemonSizzler build at least 2 out of the pile. They are all the same part number for my build. A 6322s was for a 440 A/T. I intend to stroke a 400 and use this TQ. Hopefully.
