Currently, I am building a 392 with home ported Eddy heads with Inconel exh valves, 76 mm turbo, air to air cooler, FAST injection system. It has custom JE 9.5:1 turbo pistons, H-beam rods, forged crank, main and head studs, M1 intake, Hughes 224 duration hyd roller, 4 bolt splayed mains, partial fill, 727 with 4500 converter, Dana with 3.54 gear and 315/60/15 drag radial.

It will be capable of making 900-950 hp, but of course my block will limit me to about 700-750.

I don't have the specs on the turbo yet...not that far...still in the freshening/building of the motor stage.

once you boost it you'll never go back to NOS. Boost is full time fun.

buddy runs a 100mm turbo on a 392 sb mopar. tube chasis Omni/TH3, should run 8's w/ 3.73 gears. Getting his lincense this weekend. So far he has run 137 in the 1/8 and 160 in the 1/4 on a 1000ft pass.

I'll get it for you by Monday. I do know it's a W-something motor. This guy used a cast piston 360 with a 510 cam, 4.10's w/ a pro-charger and went 10's w/ 8-10lbs of bost in a 67 valiant. Drove it to the track.

That S400 80mm will be a good match to the 408. You might want a 1.32 hotside depending on the RPM you plan to turn.

11.67@118 1.88 60' with only 7-8 lbs of boost. Turbocharged, megasquirted, 407 BB, 440 source heads, roller cam, 9:1 comp. http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm14/beansgracie

Ok, here some info on the build. 340 X block stroked to 394. W-5 heads, 98mm Percision turbo,749 roller cam 262 @ .050 116 centerline. 8.5:1 CP heat coated pistons forgot to ask what intake & carb...I think it's a Holley HP series carb. 4000 stall, 3.73 gears. He said make sure you have no overlap in your cam and at least 112 or better on the centerline. He has yet to use the trans brake so his boost comes in late around the 100 foot mark. He is just leaving from an idle and dead stomps it. His 60 foot is about 1.75 (he'll be using the brake next time out and trying to get the boost at launch) Says the car should run low 8's at 170 or so. He's only pushing 12lbs of boost and has no coller. MSD w/ boost delay box. Has his timing locked in full at 35* and drops a degree for every lb of boost. He also said he could have only used a turbo in the 80's and ben fine.
