What kind of adhesive can I use to bond vinyl to plastic door panels on Challenger. They're oxidized but I have scraped all of it off down to good plastic. I need an adhesive that bonds well but won't dissolve the vinyl or panel. I heard something like 3M or Weldwood contact cement could dissolve the vinyl. Any upholstery guys out there??

Use a 3M spray on contact adhesive, be careful that the panel is flat as the vinyl will show up any defects below. the texture of the original panel will show through which is fine if it is everywhere but as you said you've scraped away some oxidized area so these may be smooth

After re-reading in Don Taylor's auto upholstery book I realize its more about the glue to foam rubber issue than glue to vinyl, but thanks, Zapp, for the reply. I'm gonna do some R&D before I do anything permanent, But I couldn't make my door panels look too much worse LOL.....or could I?!?
