We have 1980 24" Motorhome with a 440 in. Now I would like to tow a 24 car trailer. Not sure how to put the hitch on and do it right so down the road I will not have trouble with the hitch. All advice and pictures would be Great Thanks Bob

Have a good class4 receiver hitch professionally installed and use with the load equalizer bars and sway control.

Nice rig! Mine had a hitch on it when I got it. The hitch looks like a custom built dealy, and goes WAY up under the back and is tied to a frame crossmember just in front of the rearend. Hopefully you can see part of it in the pic if you blow the attachment up.

You'll probably be way over your GCVWR.

Especially if we are talking 24' enclosed.

Even on aflat deck trailer you will nees load level bars, and air bags to keep the bumper off the ground.

I pulled my car behind a class c like that with a 440. Hidden hitch, and others, do make a hitch for that chassis. It was relatively easy to install.

BUT keep in mind, the frame construction on those is not very heavy. There were also variables in how the frames were lengthened so you may be mounting the hitch onto something that has been welded on to the vehicle frame to make it longer.
Probably not, but better look under. Even unmolested, the frame is sheet metal, not cast iron on that type of motor home. Just like a B series Van. Not heavy enough for enclosed

My class A winni has an iron truck frame, but the last 4 feet is channel that was welded on by winnebago. I reinforced it with 6" channel to make sure it was up to pulling my 20ft flat deck.

PAY ATTENTION to the guys with the Class C's like yours ..... you are going to have to spend some $$$$$$$$ on a good hitch.

I am an RVer toooo ... but I have a diff Class A's that have a HD frame running allll the way to the back.

The motor home I just tore apart, a 24 ft. Titan Class A had a hitch "home made" out of 2x2 box steel and 3x3 angle iron welded to the frame extensions on the back of the motor home. Pretty shaky looking setup if you ask me.

Sorry not near enough motor home to pull a 24' enclosed trailer. Not near enough frame like the other guys are saying. Not enough GVW either. Class C are not made to pull much because of the frames. I bet your rear tires would be way overloaded on the RV with a 24' trailer attached.
