I have an electric issue with my 67 RT that's driving me crazy. When I step on the brake pedal the dome light comes on (just the dome, not the console lights). The tailights and brakelights are also dead, but turn signal works okay. I changed the headlight swith an everything was good for about a week, but then it started again. I guseeing I've got a short somewhere and moving the wires temporarily fixed it. I don't see anything obvious. Anyone ever see something like this? Thanks

I would look at the harness that runs from down by your e-brake mechanism, under the sill plate, behind your rear interior panel, and then into the trunk. That is where your wires for all the above run (dome, brake, taillights) I bet you have a short in there, or a previous owner played with the wiring. It's got to be in that area/harness

Had similar, dome & map lights flashed when signaled. I did 2 things, replaced 2 fuses that control signals and tighted the fuse box screws under the dash. 1 of the 2 fixed my problem.

Also, when braking, the tail lights would go out on the side I was signaling.

brake/hazzards FUSES are loosen from fuse HOLDERS, or they are corroed

BTDT exactly on same deal

when you have that fail, becarefull that fuse wilL be REEEALLY HOT able to melt the fuseblock. you can check it to confirm but with REEEAALLY CARE. IT WILL BE REALLY HOT!
