Is it necessary to have a front wheel drive car's front end re-aligned after replacing the struts? I replaced my wife's '99 Saturn SL2 front struts and now it steers differently. Especially at higher speeds the steering feels freer. The reason I replaced them is the car has 135,000 miles and the left one was knocking.

yes, you need an alignment.

Don't be the exception.
