After installing all the parts on my 70 Charger for the quarter windows, they both sit 1 inch too far back from the door glass. I've looked at all possibilities but can't see the solution. I've compared the parts to whats on ebay and they appear the same. the glass is new from AMD. Has anyone encountered this problem before and what is the solution? Thanks for any assistance.

took me quite a bit to get mine right. I pretty much had to losen everything and get the glass where I wanted it then snug it up a bit at a time...be patient and trust me the one slide you think does not matter or adjust is the one it will take to fix it...good luck.

is it down from the top also? if so there is an adjustable stop toward the front at the top, and a stop at the back.

Just a hint, my 67 Coronet service manual shows in great detail all the adjustments, and what they will accomplish -in or out, up and down for each area you can possibly adjust. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info guys. As far as I can see in the pics above, I have the parts in the right place. but the Aluminum assembly in my car does sit too far back. I will work on it this morning and post an update. thanks.

I got it to work. The advice about loosening all the bolts and moving everything worked. Also removed the rear stopper and installed after the window was adjusted. saved me a bunch of time. thanks for all the great info and pics. i will be visiting this site more often. have a great day everyone!
