I would say more like #14, Depending if it has relays upgrades attached at battery or not. If not, 14 should be enough. If yes ( what BTW is wrong on ammeter design cars ) #12 is better.
#16 were on 60 amps car as much

get the NAPA mopar fusible link iirc it's a 16 ga but not sure & you're good.
