I just bought a set of quick fuel jet plate kits part no. 34-2 for my holley 1850 carburetors. My fuel bowls have the newer style "next-gen floats" that do not require adjustment. The float that came with the kit does not have the loop in the bracket for float retaining clip. In the attached picture the old float is on the top. Has anyone run into this problem before, and if so how did you solve it? Should I remove the clip and bend the bracket to adjust the float height or notch my old float to the shape of the new one?
