I'm in the middle of an engine swap. A 5.7 hemi into a 71 plymouth fury III. The vehicle at this point is frankencar... which is fitting since it's green.

I have a 2004 Dodge ram 5.7 hemi and 545rfe transmission and computer. I have a 2008 dodge ram set of wiring harnesses PCM (engine, engine compartment, and dash). Currently i'm working on combining the dash harness with the connectors from my dash.

Now i'm running into problems and I could use some electrical expertise. Mostly I need to know, when it comes to the current Ram trucks, what's the best method to go about modifying this to accept my harness.

For example the headlight switch on my Fury has 5 leads coming from the back:

Pink: Tail Lights
Light Green: Headlight High Beam Switch
Black (2): Grounds
Tan: Instrument Panel

The pin-outs for the headlight switch connector on the dash harness reads like this:

1 L116 20WT/LG: HEADLAMP/FOG LAMP SWITCH SIGNAL
2 E2 20OR/BR: PANEL LAMPS DIMMER SIGNAL
3 L115 20WT/YL: HEADLAMP SWITCH RETURN
4 E19 20OR/BR: HEADLAMP SWITCH DIMMER SIGNAL
5 Z407 20BK/OR: GROUND
6 L914 20WT/LG: CARGO LAMP SWITCH SIGNAL

I figure that I ignore the cargo lamp switch signal. But does anybody have any GOOD suggestions as to how I should go about connecting the rest of this?
