Hello just wondering if someone Knows the factory compression ratio for a 69 383 2 barrell.Stock bore heads etc.has steel shim head gasket.What were these rated at?Thanks guys

My source shows 9.2-1(blueprint spec, in reality it's maybe .5 lower). 290hp@4400 and 390ftlbs@2800 Dave

Yes; slightly different compression height. They used the same head, same head gasket. dave

IIRC the 383 2v had dished pistons and the 4v had flat tops.

I have a 69 383 2bbl piston sitting here next to me , it's the exact same compression height as the 69 383 4 bbl , 330 and 335HP , but with a DISH .
