USA	My '03 Ram 2500 w/5.7l engine starts right up but idels like it has a nasty "cam" in it (it's stock)I got a "bad O2 sensor" code off a scanner and have performed the following. I have replaced all 16 spark plugs, 2 coil packs(rotting off) and replaced both the upstream and downstream sensors. My state inspection is due this month and it's getting exspensive. Someone told me there is a "software" fix for this condition. Has anyone ever heard of this? If so I would apprecitate some advise before I send it to the dealer. Thanks.

I can't say that I've ever ran into this before and I doubt that a flash, software upgrade, etc. will do anything to change it 1987 D-100 SWB, 390hp/360ci Mopar Performance Crate, Built 998 trans, 9.25 axle with sure-grip and 3.92's - 3960#'s with driver 13.83 @ 96.36 1.98 60 ft 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 HD 5.7ltr HEMI!!!

gremlinsteve top fuel G Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 1,828 houston texas	the only valve springs i have seen break are the ones that do not have the dampner on the outside of it. i have seen some idle with a "miss" you could tell it was not right. and those that i have seen did not have any valve train clatter steve-o if You Like Gremlinsteve.
