I'm in the market for the early style with exhaust cutouts. I understand that there are some differences. Can someone post some pics as to what to look for so I can be sure I get the right one?

Thanks!

Thanks for those early style pics! Do you know if those mounting tabs on the sides are used on the later style ones as well?

And, finally... everybody's favorite... the 1973 & 1974 version with the liscence plate spacer.

Thanks again for posting! So it looks like the easiest way to distinguish is that bracket in the center. Is that correct? I can't really tell from some of the pics, but it looks like they all have the mounting tabs on the side. Also, do I understand you to say the 70's are unique to all other years, or are the 71s the same?

1970 is unique, due to no bracket in the centre.

71-74 are similar, with the 73-74 having the extra lisence plate bracket spacer. Although, any of the 3 different valance versions will fit on any of the 70-74 cars, from a fitment standpoint.

On a side note:
The crappy reproductions on the market today are based on the 71-72 version (middle bracket, no lisence plate spacer).

AMD will be coming out with a repo soon. This is the answer I got back from them. As you can see there seems to be some confusion at AMD with regards to the correct panel and year.

"These will be much nicer than the other toolings on the market. We are making specific versions for the 1970-1 and 72-4 versions. They will fit like OE and be made from the same thickness sheet metal. These will be available in 2-3 months. They are still in the development stage. Thanks for your interest! That AMD response was why I was confused. I got that same email from them last week. Thanks for clearing it up! On the plus side, it sounds like most people really like AMD's products, so I'll likely go that route if nothing surfaces by the time these are released.

FYI - I've been trying to get my hands on a good clean '70 rear valence for years and have found NOTHING!

I can't wait for a correct '70 panel from AMD.

Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.
