Does anyone know where I can get a heat shield for a mopar mini starter? I notice that after I let my car sit for a few to several minutes after a drive the start turns over VERY slowly. So slow it seems like it won't fire...but on the 3rd or 4th go around it catches and starts. I would be nice if someone sold a ridged metal shield that would protect the starter from the heat radiating off of the headers.

Or is there a mini starter that holds up to the heat better than the Mopar style mini starters?

Look for the "starter wrap" that Jeg's & Summit sell; it's been effective on my Hemi 4-speed car, which uses the slow-speed OEM starter. No more heat-sink problem from header heat.

That's what I use on mine too.
