The question has more to do with the rear side reflector bezels. I know the stripe was applied before the bezels went in, X cut, and the folded into the opening, and I know the bezels were the color of the stripe. Were the bezels painted to match the stripe, or were they car color and then taped, or primered then taped?

They are painted to match the stripe.
