Have a 92 dodge cargo van that has a 5.2l and it has been siting out back for a couple years and periodical i would go out and start it up, and drive it around the back yard. now i wanta sell it and it won't start.. i put a new battery in it and the terminals are clean. now I turn the key and nothing...doesnt even try to crank. but all the lights work as does the radio. so. i pulled out the starter and replaced it with one out of my daily driven truck. and i cleaned up all the terminal ends and still nothing. and i did turn the engine over by hand to ensure it wasnt set up and its free. so does any one have any ideas to why it wont even turn over? or even why the starter wont engage? now this is as far as i got because it started to rain. thanks every one!!

Try moving the shift lever through the gears while holding the key in the start position. Also look at the neutral saftey switch plu=g on the drivers side of the trans to see if it's plugged in.

. the battery is good, the starter is good and most likely the starter relay is still good.
