does anyone know where i would look to see if my '68 coronet 318 has a numbers matching engine and the trans too for that matter? i looked on the right side underneath and didn't see anything.

I don't think all 68s had the seriel on the block, only later ones. Should be found if it has it 90 degrees to the pan sealing surface on a flat pad if it had one. Also look for the casting date in big bold numbers on the side of the block.

here is the build date of the car:

312 - SPD - Tuesday, March 12, 1968

would it have had numbers match?
