has anyone put a 66-70 k frame into a 62-65 b body? what all is gained by doing this? how hard is it, & does anyone have any pictures?

it sets the engine/trans backwards.. makes it a pain to hook up to the trans x member..

Maxie intake manifold won't fit without surgery.

Transmission mount will have to change as well and the bellhousing bolts will be a paint to access.

Unless you're looking for every last hundreth in the quarter, it's really not worth it. If you already have a 66-70 K-frame and are replacing a /6 it might be a good option.

Moving the firewall for Max Wedge intake clearance is actually pretty easy. Porta power against the K-Frame will push it back nicely. I cut the front trans mount boss off from the trans cross member,fab a small box section and use a Chevy S-10 mount. It also allows the use of 66 & up headers. Trans tunnel clearance is tight. I opened mine up.

i'm putting in a low deck 500ci engine, procomp aluminum heads & a tunnel ram. i don't think i'll bother with it. sounds like more trouble than it's worth. the header thing would be a plus, but thats about it.
