Worked fine before I took it apart of course.

Since putting everything back together, my windshield wipers refuse to park themselves when I turn off the switch, they just stop in place. While they are running, the light above the heater controls flashes in time to the wipers. And if I turn on the overhead light with the wipers off, they will ever so slowly move.

I'm about to start pulling wiring to fix some other nit picky things and add a remote truck release. Any idea where I should start looking for this particular gremlin?

And if you also read my alternator upgrade question, I do plan on fixing the short first of course. My car doesn't need a "flame job" on the dash. :-)

ground maybe ? is the only way I can find some relation in everything on that.

the wipers get constant power from I think the blue wire, what is the one what parks them untill a cam inside wiper motor cuts the power, but wire remains powered

Spend some time reading this thread.

Address the wiper issue first. The other problems might resolve as a result.

Down to just a blue car now.

9 out of 10 times that I had an E-body not park it was the wiper switch panel not grounding. It is supposed to ground on the back plate and the back plate to the dash frame and the dash frame to the body.

It sounds like the lack of ground is also causing the current to find other avenues of travel.

Start with making sure the dash frame and switch panel is correctly grounded and let us know how it works then.

yep- add a ground wire from the back of the dash to the frame- if the wiper switch is not grounded to the main dash- add one there too!!!
