on a big block.
Does the back fire valve face forward or to the rear?
I've got the gaskets for the heads but are there any gaskets for the front and rear block rails? If not, what do you use to fill the gap?

Thanks
Roy

i use silicone as fred said and the burst plate goes to the rear.the gap on my intake to the rail is about .100.i used some gasket glue to seal the intake gasket to the head/intake to be safe.
did you tap for a boost guage in the intake?i did mine on the front 1/8npt.

Should I start a poll on front or back? Maybe it really doesn't matter?

The manifold has a 1/8 port alread tapped right next to the burst valve. For that reason, I was thinking toward the back but it will sure make more of an impression if it faces forward.

I've got a pretty big gap between the manifold and block. Of course, I haven't tightened the manifold down yet but the gaskets that mount between the heads and manifold are thick.

i dont believe the bolt pattern on the intake for the blower will allow you to go backwards with it.my intake fiber gasket it .060 and only needed trimming on the devider between the ports.

I do remember the gasket only fit one way so I'll make sure the blower faces the right way

I'll try the manifold without the thick gasket.

Thanks to all
Roy
