this might not really be the right forum for this but i'll try anyways......i need to know what to set the valve lash at cold on a 1952 to 1954 dodge flathead in a dodge truck...rebuilding the motor right now....also what color were these painted?

I don't know if it is the same, but I have a '55 factory manual that shows .010" in./.013" exhaust cold setting and should be .010"/.010" hot

Which engine? my book shows 218,230, 237, 241, 251, and 265 depending on model, and also shows only hot specs, .010 hot intake, .014 hot exhaust on some earlier engines .... later engines .010 hot intake, .018 hot exhaust, Dad said those were a PIA to adjust hot hth...
