Previously I posted regarding an engine diaper and header issue. The above company sells a header tape called the Inferno Wrap which is supposed to protect up to 2200 degrees and a shield called the HP Shield which is supposed to protect up to 1800 degrees. Has anyone had any experience with either of these two products? Did they work as described? I intend to wrap my headers with the Inferno Wrap or put the HP Shield on. Either way, I am sure the wrap or the shield will rub against the new engine diaper that also has high heat material in the corner where the header is close to the oil pan. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I have first hand experience with Heat Shield products, but not those two. What I use is great material so I feel 100% confident in anything they make. (I have had ThermoTec products fail).

I use the HP Armor on my headers, starter and transmission cable, based on their recommendation for my dilemma (tight clearance with a Hemi and custom tubes). They told me it was their highest rated material. It is fantastic to work with and has lived up to their claim. Their help on the phone was excellent also. I think you should call them for advice.

Here is the weird part: you can't find the HP Armor on their website, but it is available here (with description and data): http://www.verociousmotorsports.com/Shop-by-Brand/Heatshield-Shields-and-Jackets/Heatshield-HP-Armor

I can say that it is the best product I have ever used, for any project, period.

68X426,
Thanks for the response. I talked to them and ordered the HP Armor today. I think it will fill my needs. It sounds like good stuff. The HP Armor is there newest product and most flexible for mounting. They said they are in the process of upgrading their website. I will let you know how it works.
