i just made a plate to go inside of the door, made a card board template and used 1/8th plate then just used factory hinges.this way the f-glass is sandwhiched between the hinge and the plate.

You could just buy this from www.Jerrybickel.com

Al's Barracuda has the stock upper door half hinge pin welded in from the top, with enough pin protruding, to safely pilot it in the stock upper body half. The stock lower hinge uses a quick release pin. This allows the door to lift off upward. This is the way I will do it. Sorry no pics. Hard drive crash 2 months ago left me devoid of all my tech files.

The door jams are not parallel to the door jam . The bottom hinge pivot has to be around 3/4" longer on the bottom in order to have the door open level.

Just look at your stock hinge's and you will see what I mean.

The RJ or Bickel stuff all have same mount to pivot distance .

I will take a few pictures and help you out.

I've used those JB hinges on lots of stock bodied cars in the past...on the door the pivots need to be on the same verticle plain...the tubes that attach to the body end up being different lengths.Plus with the JB it positive retains the door and requires no pins....just open....lift and remove....simple but perfect hinge.

I made mine so you can adjust the door if needed.

Go Green good design so the mount on the body is solid/doesn't move. But the door half IS adjustable correct? Thanks Don

On the car there are the factory holes that take 3/8" bolts where the original hinge mounts . The stand off tubes that encase the 3/8" bolts are .750" x .065" tube .There plenty of room between the bolt and the inside of the standoff tube to adjust the door up or down .
So the door receiver hinges are non adjustable but the car mounted pins stands are.

Thats almost exactly the way I did them....I would make a plate from sheet CM that would go into the factory holes...alot of times I'd make new nut plates from aluminum f wieght was an issue. I like the idea tying them together with one long tube.
