Stock replacement pump from your local parts store is more than adequate for a mild 383.

Holley and Edelbrock have nice (but expensive) upgrades. The Carter 6903 hemi style pump is an option as well.

I can fix it... my old man is a television repairman.
He's got the ultimate set of tools... I can fix it.

Currently Mopar-less

Stock is a very good choice.

I tried a HEMI fuel pump from Y1 on my 440. First the glass body Purolator fuel filter split length wise, then the pump casting cracked. Now I have a stock pump and a metal filter.

Stock parts store pump will be fine. For a few bucks more check out mancini raceing. They have a few really nice pumps.

Carter M6903 mechanical pump works great in most big-block street applications.

Here are the specs:

• 5.5 to 6.5 PSI

• 120 GPH flow rate

• Tough lightweight aluminum silver cast finish body

• Large full-flow valves

• Anti-float springs for high RPM operation

• Heat treated lever

• ¼” NPT inlet and outlet

• Housing is positioned for the many popular Chrysler O.E. fuel line routing but can also be rotated to accommodate different inlet and outlet locations

• Perfect for stock or modified Mopar muscle cars requiring additional fuel delivery while maintaining a stock appearance under the hood

These Super Mechanical Fuel Pumps are available exclusively from Mancini Racing and retail for $99.95 for M6903 units.
